Parents come to us specifically for experienced childcare professionals. Written or verbal references from previous employment are a mandatory requirement
We do not impose any restrictions based on age or gender and do not support any form of discrimination. However, each family may have specific preferences indicated in their request. We recommend candidates who meet the criteria of the individual search.
In some cases, applicants with a background in medicine, education, or psychology may have an advantage — for example, when caring for newborns or supporting a child’s preparation for preschool, medical needs, or inclusive education
Yes, we have nannies who can help you prepare everything you need before your baby is born and are ready to start working as soon as you’re home from the maternity hospital
This is a common request from families living in suburban areas, abroad, or with children attending international schools. Such candidates are typically part of the higher-end domestic staff market and may require additional time to source
In addition to mandatory document verification — including passport, tax ID, diplomas and training certificates, a certificate of no criminal record, vaccination records, clearances from a narcologist and psychiatrist, and a valid medical book — we verify references from previous employers and gather information about close relatives.
Each candidate goes through a detailed 2–2.5 hour interview. Using profiling techniques, we assess the accuracy of the information provided, professional skills and knowledge, physical health, appearance, fitness, and check for any chronic illnesses or harmful habits. For our clients’ safety, we also consult closed domestic staff databases in Ukraine, including internal blacklists
In 2015, the Community of Professional Nannies of Ukraine was founded. Candidates are added exclusively through verified recommendations and trusted personal networks. The database is continuously updated and expanded
Experienced nannies typically seek full-time positions without live-in arrangements, working 40–50 hours per week. For 24/7 childcare, families usually employ a rotational live-in schedule, with two nannies alternating shifts. In Ukraine, the most common rotations are 7/7, 10/10, or 14/14 days. For families in European countries, longer rotations such as 2/2 or 3/3 months are more common.
Some candidates are also open to part-time or weekend positions.
Working conditions are outlined in an employment contract signed for a one-year term. The agreement must specify the number of vacation and sick leave days
Paid vacation: 14 to 24 calendar days per year, with complete (100%) monthly salary paid, as agreed with the employer.
Sick leave: Up to 10 days per year at 50% pay
Employer-initiated absences: Compensated at 50%
Holiday and weekend work: Nannies without live-in arrangements receive a 50% pay increase for working on public holidays and weekends
Travel: All out-of-town travel expenses are covered by the employer
Meals: For full-time positions, meals are typically provided as the nanny eats with the family
Pet care: Caring for pets is not part of the nanny’s responsibilities
When traveling, all additional expenses are covered by the employer — including visas, transportation or flights, accommodation, and meals — along with the nanny’s full salary
The employment contract includes a clear set of moral and ethical guidelines that the nanny must follow. While on duty, the nanny is fully responsible for the child’s life and safety. For additional peace of mind, we recommend installing video surveillance to help ensure these standards are upheld
A governess is a higher-level childcare professional with specialized pedagogical education, such as a degree as a preschool teacher or a primary school educator.
A governess works with a child to achieve specific developmental goals and enhance skills in areas such as speech, memory, fine and gross motor skills, logic, arithmetic, physical development, self-care, creativity, and etiquette.
As a result, a governess’s salary is typically about 20% higher than that of a nanny
