What are the benefits to ensure the comfort and safety of the child
Parents look to us for experienced childcare professionals. Written or verbal references from previous employment are a prerequisite.
We have no restrictions on age or gender, we do not support any discrimination. However, there are employers’ wishes, which are specified in the application form. And we, in turn, offer those applicants who meet the search criteria. In some cases, applicants with medical, pedagogical or psychological education have an advantage. For example, for newborn children or in preparation for pre-school institutions, there is a need for special medical care or inclusive education.
Yes, we have nannies who will help you prepare everything you need before your baby is born and will start work after you are discharged from the maternity hospital.
This is a relevant issue for families living in the suburbs or in other countries, as well as children who study in international schools. Such candidates are found in the higher-paying domestic staff market and it takes extra time to find them.
In addition to the obligatory verification of documents (passport, identification code, diplomas and certificates of education, certificate of non-criminal record, vaccinations, certificate from narcologist and psychiatrist, medical book) and recommendations from previous places of work, we collect information about close relatives.
We conduct interviews for 2-2,5 hours, with the help of profiling we check the truthfulness of the received information, the availability of professional skills and knowledge, the absence of chronic diseases and bad habits, appearance and physical fitness. We also use closed databases of domestic staff in Ukraine with blacklists for the safety of our clients.
In 2015, the Community of Professional Nannies of Ukraine was created, to which applicants are added exclusively on the basis of verified recommendations and personal networking. The data in this list is constantly updated and supplemented.
Experienced nannies are looking for full-time employment without accommodation – 40-50 hours per week. For round-the-clock childcare, a rotational method with accommodation is used – two nannies work in shifts in a family. In Ukraine, the most commonly used shifts are: 7/7 days, sometimes 10/10 days or 14/14 days. For European countries, schedules of 2/2 or 3/3 months are more popular.
Some candidates will accept part-time or weekend work.
- In the employment contract, which is concluded for 1 year, the terms and conditions for the number of days of holiday and sick leave must be specified. By agreement with the employer, the duration of leave can be from 14 to 24 calendar days – with payment of 100% of salary per month. Sick leave is 50% up to 10 days per year. Compensation for absences from work on the employer’s initiative – 50%.
- Nannies without accommodation are paid 50% extra for working on public holidays and weekends.
- Additional out-of-town travelling expenses are paid by the employer.
- When working full time, the nanny eats with the family.
- The babysitter’s duties do not include caring for animals.
When travelling, additional costs are borne by the employer: visas, flights or travel, accommodation and meals with full pay.
The employment contract stipulates the moral and ethical rules of behaviour that the nanny is obliged to fulfil. During her work, she is responsible for the life and safety of the child. It is therefore recommended to install video surveillance to monitor compliance with these rules.
A governess is a higher-level professional with a specialised pedagogical education. For example: “Preschool teacher” or “Teacher of primary grades in secondary school”.
A governess helps a child to achieve certain goals, improve skills and knowledge in various areas, such as: speech, memory, fine and large motor skills, logic, arithmetic, physical development, self-care skills, creative activities, etiquette. Accordingly, the salary of a governess is usually 20% higher.
